President's Welcome
Welcome to the newly chartered Eta Zeta Chapter of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc., proudly serving the counties of Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, and Stafford. Founded on June 1, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois, this illustrious sorority was established by Lola Mercedes Parker and six other visionary women dedicated to empowering women to pursue and excel in business.
As a dynamic new chapter, we are deeply engaged in our community—supporting local students through entrepreneurial initiatives, promoting reading literacy, awarding scholarships, and making a lasting impact through service and charitable giving.

Eta Zeta Story
Sassy Brooks had a vision to charter an Iota Phi Lambda Chapter in Northern Virgina. This vision took five years to formulate resulting in 10 distinguished ladies anwsering the call. These ladies are Alexis Johnson, Dawn N. McKenzie, Michele Barcliff Glover, Traci Blyden, Yolanda Gantt, Makalia Davis, Sassy Brooks, Dr. Brandynicole Brooks, Janielle Douglas, and Sonja Keeve. On June 7th, 2025, eight chartering women crossed into Iotaland and chartered Eta Zeta in Woodbridge, VA. Our line name is Pure Essence, as it represents unfliltered sisterhood and authenticity. We also welcomed two tranfers, Soror Sonja Keeve and Soror Janielle Douglas. Each one of us holds an officer position, which allows us to work together in true sisterhood.
