President's Welcome
Welcome to the newly chartered Eta Zeta Chapter of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc., proudly serving the counties of Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, and Stafford. Founded on June 1, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois, this illustrious sorority was established by Lola Mercedes Parker and six other visionary women dedicated to empowering women to pursue and excel in business.
As a dynamic new chapter, we are deeply engaged in our community—supporting local students through entrepreneurial initiatives, promoting reading literacy, awarding scholarships, and making a lasting impact through service and charitable giving.
Thank you for visiting our website. I encourage you to check back often for updates on our initiatives and opportunities to get involved.
In Service,
Sassy Brooks, President

Eta Zeta Story
Sassy Brooks had a vision to charter an Iota Phi Lambda Chapter in Northern Virginia. This vision took five years to formulate resulting in 10 distinguished ladies answering the call. These ladies are Traci Blyden, Dr. Brandynicole Brooks, Sassy Brooks, Makalia Davis, Yolanda Gantt, Michele Barcliff Glover, Janielle Douglas, Dawn N. McKenzie, Alexis Johnson, and Sonja Keeve. On June 7th, 2025, eight chartering women crossed into Iotaland and chartered Eta Zeta in Chantilly, VA with the mission to serve the Counties of Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, and Stafford.
The chartering members' line name is Pure Essence, as it represents unfiltered sisterhood and authenticity. We also welcomed two transfers, Soror Janielle Douglas and Soror Sonja Keeve. We are excited to work together in true sisterhood.
